I use a combo of these essential oils in my Scalp Massage Add-on service. The oregano is very strong and has antimicrobial properties. The peppermint, rosemary and lemon work together to help open the sinuses and soothe congestion and anxiety.
Essential Oils For Congestion Blend
- 5 Drops Oregano
- 10 Drops Peppermint
- 10 Drops Rosemary
- 10 Drops Lemon
Place this mixture in a clean glass bottle so they are ready when you need them. I recommend my patients keep these oils in the fridge and place a few drops on a cotton ball and set inside their pillow case before bedtime. It’s easy to diffuse them into your room, or add to a bowl of steaming water and inhale gently.
Naturally, if you have any allergies to these plants its best to avoid them. Always buy organic essential oils in glass bottles and keep them in glass if you make a blend. Be mindful that compounds from plastic bottles can leach into the oils.
Always dilute essential oils in a carrier oil before using on your skin.
