Pan Roasted Asparagus Recipe

Asparagus is very detoxifying and helps to rid the body of stagnant water.  Fresh asparagus is in peak season for flavor and nutrients in the Pacific Northwest right now.

Pan Roasted Asparagus Recipe

Lectin Free, Gluten Free, Soy Free, Nut Free and Dairy Free
1-2 Pounds Of Fresh Asparagus
2 T Olive Oil
Lemon
Salt & Pepper

Steam asparagus until tender in a shallow pan. Reduce heat to low and drizzle with olive oil and pan roast until slightly wrinkled and gently browned but not overcooked. Splash with fresh Meyer lemon juice and season to your taste with salt and pepper. For a savory treat, If you have leftovers, pan roasted asparagus is quite delicious rolled with a tiny bit of rice in toasted nori seaweed sheets. Cut in to bite size chunks and dip in coconut amino sauce spiked with wasabi.
