Easy Healing Soup

This easy healing soup can be used for anything, whether you’re trying to eat less and lose weight, recover from the cold or flu, or if you’re just feeling tired or stressed. Have a cup before meals to warm up your digestion.

Bring to a quick boil and call it a day.
Bring to a quick boil and you’re done.

If you can boil water, you can make this soup. Its even a common starter in Asian restaurants. Its just cabbage, onions, sea salt and water. If you need an extra boost, throw in some grated ginger. Today I used Brussels sprouts because they were organic and available at my local Trader Joes. Brussels sprouts are just baby cabbages grown on a stem.

They have many vitamins including B6, magnesium, iron and potassium. Onions are great for immune boosting and contain sulfur compounds, zinc, selenium, and vitamin C.

The main benefit for your health is the prebiotic fiber that replenishes your gut biome. Prebiotic fiber is what feeds your probiotic gut environment.

Just thinly chop your cabbage or Brussels sprouts with the onion and bring to a boil to soften, but not long enough for the green color to fade. Its quick to prepare. Toss in some sea salt to taste. This is a great basic. You can always add ginger, green onion, and any other veggies if you have time.

Its Paleo, Plant Paradox, Lectin Free, Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Vegan, Vegetarian, AIP, and Weight loss friendly.

Enjoy!
